Invitation to NMDSG meeting 25 April and information

Dear friends

Lars has recently sent you the newsletter for NMSDG07A. The development of this protocol is something that now is considered to be a positive model for other European studies. Congratulations, Lars.

The LeukemiaNet Registry agreement with Nijmegen University is ready and the EPN application submitted in Sweden. I may have to get "resursintyg"
from all the Swedish sites, and if so, I hope that you can be quick.

You are all welcome to the NMDSG meeting at ARLANDIA hotel, Arlanda Airport, Stockholm. The meeting is supported by an unrestricted grant from Pharmion Nordic covering rent of room, coffe and lunch. Observe; as usual no flights

  1. NMDSG07A. Update (Lars Möllgard)
  2. NMDSG03A. Pre-final report (Herman Nilsson-Ehle)
  3. NMDSG02B. Pre-final report (Michael Grövdal)
  4. Thorough discussion about new models for allo SCT in MDS. Mats Brune fron Gothenburg will participate and perhaps also an international speaker.
  5. New protocol idea; low-dose azacytidine in low and Int-1 risk MDS (which we started to discuss in November) (Eva HL) 6. As last part of the programme, approx 14.45 - 16 I have placed the kick-off for the LeukemiaNet Registry. Since this in the first 6 months will be a Swedish study, I thought that the other Nordic members could have a choice whether to stay or leave. It is really important that all the regional Swedish coordinators are here, since I also thought that we could discuss the INCA MDS registry (I will send you the first suggestion from INCA soon)
